Kampuchea Balopp, a Phnom Penh-based youth development through sport organisation and coordinators of the annual Cambodia 10’s rugby showpiece, celebrated another successful competition as it welcomed 18 teams from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, France, and Australia to contest a host of trophies on
26th and 27th October. The event sought to highlight the work being done in Cambodia with youth development through sport.
Kampuchea Balopp works with over 900 disadvantaged and disabled children. Through 16 partner organisations it offers sports training to children and as well as the physical attributes and motor skills that the sports training builds, providing the children with nutritional information, social integration skills, values of mutual respect, team work, sportsmanship, a sense of responsibility, gender equality and confidence, among other important values.
